- Semi-detached and terraced houses — extend up to 3 metres from the rear wall (or up to 6 metres under the larger home extension scheme with prior approval)
- Maximum height — 4 metres at the eaves
- Side extensions — single storey, no more than half the width of the original house, no higher than 4 metres

Properties that have already used some of their PD allowance may have reduced entitlements.
